College Football Betting Preview - (9) Florida Gators at (1) LSU Tigers 8:00 PM EST

LSU is currently a 7-point home favorite with a total of 47 at most online sportsbooks for tonight's marquee matchup.

Trindon Holliday, RB for LSUTwo college football powerhouses will do battle tonight as the (5-0) LSU Tigers will host the (4-1) Florida Gators in an SEC showdown.

Florida comes into this game off an upset loss to Auburn last week, ending an 11-game winning streak overall and a 17-game winning streak at home.

Auburn was also the only team to beat the Gators during their National Championship title run last year.

LSU keeps on chugging along as they have looked dominate in all five games this season, outscoring their opponents 199-32, shooting them up to the #1 ranking in the country over now #2 USC.

The Tigers dismantled Tulane 34-9 last week impoving their unbeaten record to 5-0.

Florida has the small edge in all-time record against LSU of 28-22-3, including a 23-10 win last year.

LSU comes into tonight's game averaging 39.8 points per game through their first five games. 216.8 yards per game passing and 223.4 yards per game on the ground.

The Tigers have a talented trio of tailbacks with Jacob Hester, Keiland Williams and Trindon Holliday. They have rushed for 700 yards and nine touchdowns so far this season.

LSU is ranked #1 in the country in total defense allowing just 174.6 yards per game. They also lead the nation in rushing defense allowing just 39.0 yards per game. The Tigers also are second in scoring defense, allowing a measly 6.4 points a game.

On the other side, Florida is averaging 42.8 points per game. 264.4 yards per game through the air and 212.2 on the ground.

Gators' quarterback Tim Tebow leads the team with 433 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, while receivers Percy Harvin and Cornelius Ingram have combined for 45 catches, 705 yards and six touchdowns this season.

Florida's defense is allowing 19.6 point per game. 310.8 total yards a game. 247.4 passing and 63.4 rushing.

LSU is 5-0 straight up and 3-2 against the spread. Florida is 4-1 straight up and 2-2 against the spread.

The Tigers are the best in the country against the rush. Tebow is a rushing quarterback. The Gators will have to find a way to get it done through the air, which is not their strong suit. Having said the above, plus the home field we expect the Bayou Bengals to roll and cover the touchdown. LSU 27 Florida 17.
