College Basketball - North Carolina Tarheels (-6½, 157) at Boston College Eagles 9:00 EST
North Carolina was cruising to what looked like a certain ACC title, Tobacco Road suddenly became bumpy for the Tar Heels and now there are four teams that have three losses apiece headed into the final three weeks of the regular season. Among them, is Boston College, today's opponent.
Unfortunately for UNC, Jarred Dudley and BC are going to be a hungry bunch after falling to Duke on Wednesday. Roy's boys lost another game nobody saw coming, this time in huge home revenge spot against Virginia Tech.
For today, the Tar Heels travel to Chestnut Hill for their only meeting with Boston College in the regular season. The early season passion has been replaced with indifference, as even the win over Duke was in part predicated on the Blue Devils inability to make free throws in the second half.
Boston College is off a home loss to Duke in which they were out-rebounded by nine. The Eagles were not ready to soar and fell behind quickly and never recovered.
Don't expect the ACC's leading scorer Jared Dudley to have another miserable game, scoring just 11 points.
Additionally, don't presume a tepid response from B.C., who is 7-2-1 ATS in their last ten games following a spread loss. Tar Heels are 5-2 ATS as a visitor and Roy Williams figures to find five players that are willing to give max effort no matter who has to sit.
