When looking for a Poker room, you actually play on the software, where as a Sportsook you fill in forms to place bets.
Alot of Poker Rooms are the same but some are a lot different. The ones we have here I put in money personally and played. There were a couple of others that I played at which I didnt like so much. When looking for an online Poker room to play at you have to just look around and download the software, play for free to get a feel for it and if you like it after a couple days, throw some money in there and play for real
