Indeed it is a shame. Canas is a nice guy and well liked by his peers. I dont agree with Dave in that he's not really past his prime. Some players blossom late and play there best tennis in their late 20's. 2004 was his best yr winning 3 times on the ATP tour, and he was having a very solid '05 (semi's at Indina Wells, and Halle, plus a 5 set loss to Puerta in the qtrs at Roland Garros).

But too bad--HE CHEATED and tha ATP tour (unlike nonsesne MLB, who gave cheater Palmeiro 10 games--10 games??, waht a joke) has very penal guidelines for this and RIGHTFULLY SO.
