Dementieva TO Agassi TO Myskina--- 1u to win .96u.........Anastasia Myskina decided to play a tier IV event this week to get some much needed matches in. She has turned her year around; having won 9 of last 10 matches played including beating Wimbledon champ Venus Williams in Fed Cup play. She hasn't been brilliant this week, but has dominated when she has HAD to; 6-0 in the thrid vs Kutusova and 6-1 in the third vs Pin. She plays Sofia Arvedson the hometown girl who got a WC here in Sweden. Major class difference here, these two met a yr ago at Melbourne Park with the Russian winning 6-2,7-5. Myskina should move and 'should' win this tournament.................Dementieva is on comfortable soil; she has done well here in L.A, reaching the semi's a yr ago. A win here today and she does it again. She has yet to lose a set, with straight set wins over Bartoli and Stosur--BOTH of whom are arguably, better hardcourt players then her opponent today, Italy's Tathiana Garbin. The Italian seems to struggle vs power players, and although Elena's serve can be shaky those groundstrokes qualify her as a power player. The Italian has loses to Mauresmo 2-6,1-6, N Li 3-6,1-6 and S Mirza 2-6,1-6 (all power players) In addition, VS RUSSIAN PLAYERS SINCE 2003 Garbin is 0-12!!! yikes!! These two met this yr at Fed Cup play IN ITALY on clay with Elena winning 6-4,6-3. The Russian moves on...............Andre Agassi vs Gaston Gaudio 7:00pm in Montreal and on tv--LIFE IS GOOD!!!!! I don't think this will be an easy match for Andre. Gaudio can be a pest on this surface. But he BETTER be going for his shots today, cause Andre has looked solid this week and his dismantling of Kiefer is too much for me not to support him here. ANdre is 24-5 ytd on hardcourt and has won 8 straight matches. Gaudio, of course , prefers clay. HE DOES NOT have a big serve and has been broken 6 times in 3 matches this week. Andre is 'seeing' the ball really well here in Montreal; % recieving points won this week in his 3 matches-- 47%,44%,43%--THOSE ARE NUTTY numbers on hardcourt. The proud American moves on.........
your up first Anastasia.............nice outfit.........
