The ATP and Sony Ericsson WTA Tour have joined forces to aid Hurricane Katrina victims in the United States by auctioning autographed equipment, apparel and memorabilia from some of tennis' biggest stars.
Andy Roddick, Maria Sharapova, Andre Agassi, Lindsay Davenport, Roger Federer, Venus Williams, Rafael Nadal, Kim Clijsters, Robby Ginepri, Justine Henin-Hardenne and Bob and Mike Bryan are among the players who have signed on to help.
"It's a tragedy, it's terrible," Agassi said. "I hope there's something I can do. I'll be a part of anything that might make a difference."
Hurricane Katrina, a Category 4 storm, struck the southeastern United States in late August, killing hundreds and leaving thousands more homeless and without food and water. Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama endured the brunt of the storm in what is being deemed one of the country's worst natural disasters.
