 TO Suspended 4 games
and will not play for the Eagles again.
Just watched Head Coach Andy Reids press conference. Not sure what they are going to do after the 4 game suspension. They have 2 options - Deactivate him for the rest of the season or release him to waivers. If they deactivate him, They would have to pay him and he would still be an Eagle for the remainder of the season even though he cannot play, then they would release him after the season. If they release him to waivers after the 4 game suspension, Whatever teams are in the waiver order could pick up and his remaining contract from the Day they picked him up meaning that the Eagles don't have to pay shit. During the 4 game suspension Eagles also don't have to pay TO.
IMO, Eagles weren't going to the Super Bowl this year with or without him. Mind as well get it over with now and start working with life after TO. Eagles will be waaaaay under the cap this offseason, hopefully they make some good moves to get back to a Superbowl caliber team again. |
