Well this day sure sucked. 0-3 Ga. Tech. 82 Tenn. St. 72, Jacksonville St. 93 Tenn-Martin 84, Tenn. Tech. 79 SEMO 65.
In the SEMO game Tenn. Tech. went on a 22-4 run to start the second half and that was pretty much the game. SEMO had alot of shots go half way down and come back out. Once Tech. got comfortable in the game they made everything they threw up. It was like a snowball going down hill it just got worse and worse. Give Tech. credit they played a great game. SEMO's top two scorers had their worst shooting night of the year.
This Jacksonville St. team must be alot better than I thought. They shot over 50% from the floor and 35% from three. There were alot of fouls called in this game with Jacksonville St. making 8 more FT than Tenn-Martin. Tenn-Martin did turn the ball over 23 times. I'll back off of Jacksonville St. until I learn more about them.
The Ga. Tech.-Tenn. St. game is the one that really pisses me off. Ga. Tech. outrebounded Tenn. St. 40-26, but they let Martin shot 39.1% from three. That's just bad perimiter defense. With 8:14 to go in the game Ga. Tech was up 24 and then just decided to coast and play the subs.
OK I'm done venting now. Sorry guys nights like this make me want to start
