Default RE-CAP

TENN. ST. 84 E. ILL. 68

Well, one of my main concerns for E. Ill. came true. They turned the ball over 18 times leading to MANY fast break layups. To beat Tenn. St. you must stop their transition game and make them play in the half court. E. Ill. did out rebound Tenn. St. 33-25 but that was because Tenn. St. didn't miss many shots. They shot 60.8% from the floor and 43.8% from three. In stark contrast in last weeks game against Tenn. Tech., E. Ill. held them to 32.5% from the floor and 20.8% from three. Make no mistake Tenn. Tech. is much better than Tenn. St. The E. Ill. announcers said that this was the first game this year that they didn't take a step forward. In this game they took several steps back. It seems now I'm catching teams playing their worst games of the year. You might want to start fading me until I get this 0-5-1 streak stoped. One last note on this game. Tenn. St. was 15-21 on FT. E. Ill. was 7-8 on FT.

Record now 13-8-1 ytd
