All I have to say about this game is Murray just got their butts beat. Every OVC coach should get this game tape on how to beat Murray. SIU had a very good game plan.
ILLINOIS 89 SEMO 64
Our boys hung with them until about the 8 min. mark of the second half when they just ran out of gas. I've never seen that happen to them before. Oh well we got the cash.
I must apologize to everone because I forgot about a key stat in this type of game for SEMO. Whenever SEMO plays a team from the top conferences they ALWAYS play a great first half. When we played at Arkansas and Oklahoma St. we led at the half. In this game Dee Brown hit a 40 ft. shot at the buzzer for Ill. to take a 9 pt. lead at half.
