I was looking at Hofstra too. Some things to point out:
Hofstra is 2-0 SU against Towson last season, but was 1-1 ATS. Hofstra winning by 9 at Hofstra was nice, but they were giving 15.5. Though at Towson, they covered the 6.5 easily, as they won by 20, as you mentioned.
But, I think this Towson team is better than it was last year. How can it not be? 3-3 at home, though 1-2 ATS. 70.5 ppg at home, vs 68.5 ppg defense at home. Hofstra averages 66 ppg on the road, and gives up 65.5 ppg on the road. Hofstra is only 2-2 ATS on the road,b ut a slick 4-0 ATS at home.
Since 1997, Hofstra is 7-1 SU at Towson, but is only 1-3 ATS.
Tough call. My gut says that Hofstra covers, but I may be clouded by Towson's ineptitude over the past couple of seasons. Perhaps the Hofstra money line is the safer call. |
