 SEMO LOCAL INFORMATION
SEMO's only true forward, Andrais Thornton, has been suspended from the team and charged with rape and sexual battery for an incident that happened in Colby, Kan. in 2003. This was his freshman year in Jr. College. I won't go into all the details but from what everyone that knows about the case, including his Jr. College coach and the original prosecuting attorney, says there is no substance to the case. The original prosecuter refused to try the case for lack of evidence.
But no matter what happens Andrais is off the team until he is exonerated. That leaves SEMO with 7 scolarship players. Three centers and four guards. Andrais was the teams leading rebounder and main scoring threat on the inside. I don't see how SEMO will be able to win another game this year. If anything else comes up I'll let everyone know.
