$250 Cincinnati -135
$100 Cincy/Pitt under 9
- Aaron Harang has a 0.37 ERA on the road with a 0.863 WHIP. In his last three starts he has a 3.27 ERA, with a 1.091 WHIP while going deep into the games. Cincy is 7-1 in Harangs starts this year. Paul Maholm has pitched well lately holding strong with an ERA of 2.41 in his last 3. But over the course of the season he's been giving up way too many hits and walks. The Pirates are 2-5 in Maholm's starts. Cincinnati has been destroying lefty pitching this season with 0.275 AVG, a 0.378 OBP and scoring 6.9 runs a game. I am a bit concerned of their struggles scoring runs on the road. But the Pirates also have difficulties at the plate with an OBP under .300 and only scoring 3.8 runs per game on the year.
- If Willis had been pitching a bit better lately I'd say there was some value with Florida, but I'm going to stay off both sides and the total. $100 Brewers -135 (previously posted) - Cappy has been awesome for the Brew Crew. He's got 2.83 ERA, a 1.037 WHIP, doesn't walk too many and strikes guys out. Cory Lidle has struggled going deep into games, but that may help Philly and a pretty decent pen. I definately give the starting pitching edge to the Brewers, and it's home run after home run for guys on the Brewers this year. It's a shame there is a lot of solo shots. I love how Philly is going on the road and they struggle against lefty pitching (4 runs .220 AVG .296 OBP) and they're going against one of the better ones in the NL. As for a total, I think the total is just about right on. I see the Brewers winnig 6-3 or 5-3 or something like that. Don't like Philly being hot in May though... $100 Washington +155
- To much value in Washington in my opinion with how the Cubs offense has been. Zambrano is always one fuck up from self destructing. Nats 5-1 against the Cubs at Wrigley the last 3 years. $100 Houston -140
- Houston has the advantage down the board. Pitching is better, SF can't score on the road, etc.
- I can't get a good feel on Stl/Mets matchup. I like Glavine to do some things, but I have a feeling the Mets are going to struggle to score. Can't get over the fact that STL owns the Mets in their recent matchups. No plays...
- Lowe has put up some good numbers, but gut feeling says Colorado is going to win this one in a low scoring game. No Plays... $200 San Diego -140 - Playing this on the pitching matchup and SD ability to win away from PETCO. National League Recap: $250 Cincinnati -135
