May 17, 2006: Soccer Play Everybody is on Barcelona, I find it quite amusing: Arsenal +1/2 -125 over Barcelona (Champions League)
They give Arsenal a +1/2 and this team can't remember the last time they've allowed a goal on the international stage. They've already beaten Real Madrid and Villareal in 2 of the last 3 matches, 2 of the very stronger Spanish sides. They think it's not possible for Arsenal to at least finish regulation with a draw here? I see people taking over and it's been 10 games since Arsenal last conceeded a goal in Champions League play? Before Villareal last they beat Juventus. If this isn't the best teams in Europe than what is?
Thierry Henry returns to France today and his team and youthful, efficient defense will give Barcelona all they can handle and then some. Like I've before mentioned, the Spanish sides like to possess the ball and pass it around well that is all but out today as they will be forced back time and time again by the quick English side. I see possible upset here. No key injuries so no upper hand there. Arsenal and Barca have both been resting players in their days leading up to this match so all is well and a-go. Arsenal have already knocked off 2 Spanish powerhouses I expect nothing but the best from them again today. Back to Back English European champions perhaps?
