Default NBA SUN

My take on the games today...

1. DET/IND....This is a must win game for DET, if they go down 3-1, I don't care that they are going home for game 5, they will not win this series. Any defense of their title begins in this game. DET is a team with immense pride and I do not see them losing this game. That being said, 5.5 is a lot of points to lay on the road especially given the way indy has looked the last game and a half, I think det wins a close, tight defensive struggle, FTs at the end might give them the cover, but I don't feel confident enough in betting either side, best bet IMO would be the under.

2. SA/SEA...The Spurs got a wake up call in game 3 with their loss to Seattle, and now the Sonics believe they can win this series! Seattle managed to win game 3 despite the poor shooting of Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis. In order to win game 4, those 2 will need to step up and one of the bigs for Seattle, whether it be James, Evans, Collison, Fortson or whoever, will need to have a good game. For SA it all begins and ends with Tony Parker. Duncan usually is consistent, mr double double, so when parker plays well they win, when he doesn't they usually lose. Games 1 and 2, Parker was able to dominate at will, and the end result were two Spurs big wins. Game 3, Seattle was more physical and didn't let him dictate and SA lost. Look for Parker to be more aggressive early and try to establish tempo for SA and get them going. I think SA probably wins this game, although it isn't out of the realm of possibility for Sea to win, thus I like Seattle to cover the 6.5 points being given.

3. PHX/DAL...PHX loses game 2 on their homecourt, loses Joe Johnson to injury and what do they do? Come back and win in Dallas. This team has a never say die attitude and can win any game and come back from any deficit with the way they shoot the ball. Amare has been unstoppable, if he continues his play, PHX has a great shot to win it all. I think in this game PHX will have to rely a little less on the 3, it was great for them in game 3, but if those shots don't fall it could be a long night. Dallas will come out with great energy tonight knowing they need this game to make it a series. I expect the mavs to play better defense and drive to the bucket more on offense. They need someone other than dirk to get going, where has jason terry been? Maybe he steps up, i don't know, but I just think the mavs will find some way tonight to get it done and win this ball game and cover.

thats my take, any opinions would be appreciated, hope this helps!
