Here is a shocker!! I lost again on Monday Night Football with Carolina and under. I continue to suck on Monday nights. Overall, still very pleased with my NFL season. We are down to one month of the regular season and I am still in the plus. Has not happened in the pro’s for me in years.
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Cleveland +7.5 vs Pittsburgh (regular play)………..How can you trust this Steeler team right now? You can’t. Big Ben is good for a couple of interceptions every week it seems. These two don’t like each other and anything can happen. Pittsburgh was lucky to beat them the first time around and they will be lucky to beat them again. Steelers by 3 or 4.
Jets -3.5 vs Buffalo (best bet)…………Jets playing very good ball right now. Buffalo is certainly capable of winning, but they are not at home this week. Jets are playing their best football right now and are looking to make a run for the playoffs. Jets might be a little under rated right now, so I am going to jump on them before people start noticing and we don’t get as good of a line as we are now.
Miami +3.5 vs New England (best bet)…………From what I have read so far, many people are on the pats after watching Miami lose at home to Jax last week. Miami, even when they suck, always give the pats fits in Miami and somehow even end up beating them once a year. Brady does not play his best football at Miami. Dolphins still have one of the leagues better defenses, especially at home. Miami needs to win all four games to even have a long shot at the playoffs and I think they start this week with an upset of the Pats. Won’t need the points, but I will take them in case fish lose by a field goal.
New Orleans +6.5 vs Dallas (strong play)……….I have been waiting for Dallas and QB Romo to have an off game. They probably should have lost to the Giants last week. My gut tells me this is the week they lose. Lets face it, they are due to lose. I really like this New Orleans team. I think this one might be a shootout and I really like the Saints to at least get the cover and maybe even the win.
Cincinnati -11 vs Oakland (strong play)…………I hate laying double digits in this league and I respect Oakland’s defense, but they bengals are finally playing the kind of ball they were supposed to all season long. Their offense is hitting its stride and they defense is playing its best right now. It does not take a great defense to stop Oakland either. I don’t see Oakland getting more than 10 points in this one, so all I need a hot Bengal offense to do is score 21, and that should not be a problem.
Denver +7.5 vs San Diego (regular play)………..I hate going against San Diego, but this Denver team is goofy. Just when you give up on them, they will turn around and play a great game and give poor Denver fans false hope again. I will gladly take a very good bronco defense and 7.5 points. I smell an upset here.
Minnesota +2.5 vs Detroit (regular play)………..Detroit favored?? Come on now! Yes the played pretty good last week, but so what…it was a fluke. New England was sleeping in that one. Detroit is back home where their fans get another chance at booing them. Sure this might lose, but I will take my chances with the better team getting points.
OPINIONS (JUST FOR FUN, NO UNITS)
Kansas City -3 vs Baltimore……..Not crazy about going against Baltimore, but they are not as good on the road, while the Chiefs are definitely a better team at home.
Atlanta -3 vs Tampa Bay………..Atlanta might be good for another win this week. Tampa just cannot put points on the board lately. I will take my chances with Vick. Atlanta not under as much pressure playing on the road as they are at home right now.
Carolina -3 vs Giants……..Carolina due for an all out effort, to put it together for one week, while the Giants just continue to disappoint. I see a lot of value in Carolina at home only laying three.
Posted my picks again early this week. I did last week and it turned out pretty good. Sometimes too much time to think and read can hurt you. Anybody agree with that?
