Home side won last two Pitt-Villanova games, with two sides also splitting pair in Big East tourney. Panthers are 7-1 in league losing only in OT to Marquette- they've won at DePaul, Cincy, Syracuse. Villanova won last two home games, scoring 92 ppg.

Butler is 7-1 in Horizon, but only loss was in OT at Chicago; Flames beat them 73-67, making 11-21 treys, but UIC lost its last four games, scoring only 57.8 ppg- only one of their four losses in league is by 15+ pts. Butler is 4-0 as Horizon home favorite.

Hofstra won six of last seven games vs Delaware, winning last two visits here, 77-62/75-57; Pride is 9-1 in CAA, 4-1 away from home, winning by 11ot/2ot/13/4 pts. Hens are 1-9 in league, 1-3 at home, losing home games 75-68/61-44/68-61 (2-2 home dog).

Princeton is only 0-2 team in Ivy League; they lost 53-47 last month to Rutgers, team that split with Seton Hall, nipping Bucs 74-70 in double OT Saturday. Two days isn't long to prepare for Princeton offense- Pirates beat Ivy kingpin Penn, 94-85.

VCU is 10-0 in CAA after wins at Drexel, George Mason, both as underdog; Rams won at Wm&Mary 88-77 Jan 10, their eighth win in row vs Tribe, which lost last three visits here, 69-60/91-69 and 71-60. Tribe is 3-2 as road underdog in CAA play.

Home side won five of last seven Youngstown-Loyola games with Penguins losing two of last three visits here; YSU beat the Ramblers 76-71 at home Dec 30 (+2.5). Loyola lost four of its last five after home losses to Butler, Wright State in last two games.

Home side won last two Saint Louis-Houston games, back in days when they were in C-USA. Houston won three games in a row since blowing 24-pt lead in loss at rival Rice. Billikens are

LMU won as 15-point dog at Santa Clara Saturday, their first win in six WCC games; St Mary's lost as 13-pt home favorite to Pepperdine, as WCC gets weirder than usual. Lions lost last two visits to Moraga, 82-70/72-71; they're 1-3-1 as WCC underdog.

Pepperdine is just 6-16 in Wallberg's first season, but they're 11-3 vs spread when getting points, winning last two games by point each. Waves are 1-2 in last three visits to Santa Clara; all three games were decided by seven or less points. Broncos are 4-2 in WCC, with wins by 7,16,14,3 points.

San Diego is 0-8 vs Gonzaga last three years, losing three in a row in Spokane, 75-59/90-73/97-78; Toreros are 3-1 on road this season, 0-2 at home. Gonzaga is 5-1 in WCC, 3-0 at home, with wins by 97-62/69-52/72-56 (1-1-1 as WCC home favorite).

Appalachian State won 68-57 at Charleston Dec 2, as Cougars shot just 38% from floor; both teams are 8-2 in SoCon, so this is big game for tourney seeding. Cougars won six games in a row, are 3-1 on SoCon road. ASU is 2-3 as SoCon home favorite.

NC-Greensboro is 8-2 in SoCon, 3-1 as home favorite, winning home games by 23,10,4,15 pts- they won 68-47 at Statesboro on Dec 30, outscoring Eagles 39-12 in second half. GeoSo is 4-6 in league, 1-4 on road, losing 87-84/67-58/74-69ot/67-64.

Wofford lost three of last four games vs Western Carolina, as Terriers lost last visit here, 80-75, and are 0-5 on road in SoCon, losing 77-54/79-69/83-78/68-65/77-75 (3-1 as road dog). Western lost last four games, but won 81-75 at Wofford Nov 29 (+4.5).
