Monday:
4/5 stake:
Andreev & Moya = -133
Bjorkman has gotten by so far in the tourney by serving and volleying, he has been serving well. The forecast calling for rain in Paris should slow the clay down a little for the morning matches. Bjorkman a career disaster on the surface facing a guy who has won the event. Moya is recently rejuvinated and is far superior to Bjorkman. I'd be STUNNED if this goes more than 4.
Baghdatis is not trustworthy on clay. He's not even trustworthy on hard court (that is where he makes his money). He's made his money at the Aussie open it seems, everywhere else has just been average. He's surely not doing much on clay with an 11-10 lifetime record on the stuff. He always seems to create a stir in majors but he should be slightly over his head here. Andreev has beaten quality opponents lately on the surface: Mathieu (11-3 this year on clay) in straight sets last round, Kohlschreiber (who beat Bagdatis in a recent prior tournament), Ferrer (in straights last month), he is capable to easily dispose of Baghdatis if playing his game. Baghdatis will hustle here but hopefully will come up short. I feel Andreev should advance here, motivation will be high.
*****HOLY CHRIST****
By the -133 and my paragraph writeup I meant Andreev... it should've been clear, sorry, I didn't even realize I had Baghdatis in the line there. It was late last night
