Faroe Islands +2.5 -175 over Scotland (Euro 2008)

Faroe Island is upstart after their recent results and as we know soccer is all about the 'now'. Fresh off a 1-2 loss to Italy they had a lot to be cheerful of as Inzaghi for Italy was the only man capable of finding the scoresheet against them. Their loss before that (0-2 to Ukraine) at home was another great accomplishment. A few factors here, the Faroe team lost to Scotland (on road) 6-0 in September of 06 but this is a much improved Faroe team since that time. The 2 previous games in the Islands were 2-2 and 1-1 respectively. One in Sept 2002 the other at Euro 2000 qualifying. Faroe will be boasted by the return of Frodi Benjaminsen and should give their defense a much needed boost. Scotland will surely fight for everything here but they're short a few players including Lee McCulloch, a guy who was supposed to do well for them. I feel this game will be close. Italy barely scrape by last Saturday now the team that lost 0-2 to Italy will try. I love big goal lines in soccer, this one appeals to me. Everything points to that goal total winning here.
