June 14, Tennis Plays I have Karlovic + Ljubicic to complete a play but I'm going to add another promising play:
Parlay: (5 units) Mark Philippoussis -270 over Christophe Rochus (Ordina)
Philippoussis isn't known as 'the scud' for nothing, he still has an above average serve and a pretty solid volley game, I guess that's what saw his great results on grass. 20-9 since 2000 and even when Mark suffered on the hardcourt he continued good runs on grass. It's his #1 surface. On the other hand Christophe h2h with Mark is 0-1 having lost this year at the Nasdaq 100 (hard floor). If he lost to Mark there in straight sets he's sure to take a hit today on his prefered surface. Christophe is 3-12 on grass since 2000. Philippoussis should surely win here, more tools than this Rochus. Paradorn Srichaphan -300 over Mark Hilton (Nottingham)
All Hilton does is play wimbledon (and he doesn't even do that all that well). He's 1-2 over his last 3 years at wimbledon having beaten only a very bad grass player Albert Costa. He has lost to no names in Hrbaty (straights) and El Aynaoui (straights). Paradorn lost suprisingly to Kevin Kim at Queens club. I'll trust Paradorn here against a lesser player in Hilton. He's played substancially more tennis over the past few years. Paradorn was 7-2 on the surface in 2004.
Would play Ljubicic again but no putting all the eggs in the 1 basket.
5 units here pays 4.15 units. Strong play.
GL!
