| Re: Friday, August 2: Soccer Plays Preview: KV Mechelen - RSC Anderlecht
Anderlecht are playing against KV Mechelen tonight. Although Mechelen are new in the Jupiler League, coach Frank Vercauteren does not want to underestimate them. "I know what Anderlecht means to Mechelen", he states.
"I'm glad to play against Mechelen, but it will be a difficult game. They have already shown that they have a good team and they will be very motivated to win against us", Vercauteren knows.

I don't see a problem here. Anderlecht signed Czech midfielder Jan Polak for this season. They're also in the market for a 4th or 5th striker.
I see no reasons why the odd would've moved like that...
W/E, I see no way for Mechelen to win here. Recently promoted side from 2nd division, they've been playing there for years now. As far as I can see from H2H Mechelen has never beaten Anderlecht... they also haven't played in several years. |
