Default West Virginia at Maryland 9/13

West Virginia has an offense to be proud of so far, no reason to think they will let up tonight.
They offer Patrick White at QB and he is equally effective running the ball as he is throwing. In two games so far this year he is 23-36 for 341 yards in the air with four TD's. Rushing he has 27 carries for 222 yards at an average of 8.2 yards per carry.
Steve Slaton is West Virginia's running back and for the first two games he has carried the ball 40 times for 255 yards at an average of 6.4 yards per carry. He has five TD's rushing and one receiving.
The main receiver is Darius Reynaud who has two TD's to date and 14 catches for 226 yards at an average of 16.1 yards per catch.
The first two games of the year were against Western Michigan and Marshall. They easily handled both as expected but the defense did not play to the level many expected.
In the last game against Marshall they were actually losing the game half way through the third quarter 13-16. They outscored Marshall 35-7 in the final one and a half quarters to win the game 48-23.
Should that happen tonight they will be in deep trouble. They can't allow Maryland the same situation, to do so might spell defeat for a team that should be in the running for a Championship season.
Maryland also has two wins this season and a defense to cause West Virginia to pay attention. That should be no problem considering the scare they received last week and West Virginia should start early and be in a vastly different set of circumstances this week.
West Virginia is favored by 16 and they should cover if they get their offense running on all cylinders. I expect them to cover and be 3-0 after tonights game.

Good Luck!
