OPINIONS (0-1)(JUST FOR FUN, NO UNITS)

Got that first day under my belt. Had a losing day overall, but don’t feel too badly about it. I hit my best bet and only ended up losing less than half a unit total. I can live with that for my opening day. Nothing worse than getting killed your first day of betting a new sport and shaking your confidence badly.

Anybody here see anything yet that is working in college basketball. I just have been keeping my eye on things before yesterday and not betting, but it seems like a lot of dogs are covering. I see a lot of 8-12 point dogs covering so far, or am I just imagining this.

Appreciate any insight you guys might have on college hoops. Let take a look at Tuesday’s action.

Yesterday I played one best bet, one strong play, one regular play and one opinion. I think I will do the same thing tonight.

N Iowa -2 vs Illinois State (best bet)……….It is always scary going against a home dog in this conference, but I really feel like N Iowa is the much better team here and it won’t matter where it is played. It is not like I am asking them to cover a huge number either. This almost looks too easy, but then again so did my best bet of Towson yesterday and it won. This game will be close and Illinois St might even have the lead at halftime, but talent in the end will win out. N Iowa was good enough this year to beat Iowa and Iowa St, so I feel pretty good about them beating the last place Illinois State team so far this year.

New Mexico +16 vs Air force (strong play)…………….Air force has a pretty good team, I will give them credit with their style of play. I know New Mexico has a injury, but they still have a pretty decent team to be getting 16 points. Im think this will be a slow down, low scoring game and if I am correct about that, sixteen points is way too many. Air Force just does not remind me of the kind of team that blows many people out unless they are really lousy. New Mexico almost won at Texas Tech a few games ago as well, so I feel pretty good about this one.

West Virginia +6.5 vs Notre Dame (regular play)……………..I am not big fan of the irish. Like their football team I think they are over rated. It may not be that they are over rated, but they lose games they should not. On the other hand West Virginia in addition to the football program being very good, their hoops program is becoming a regular top 20 team. WVU plays great defense and I think they will cause the irish all kinds of problems and force some turnovers and keep the mountaineers within the number.

Wisconsin -5 vs Ohio State (opinion)…………….Wisconsin might just have the best home court in America right now. OSU has a great team, but the badgers are at least as good. Home court makes the difference here….a big difference.
