Another losing day yesterday, but only 1.7 units, so maybe my “don’t put as much thought into it” theory did me some good, so I will do the same again today. I am making my picks even before I read anything or anybody elses picks. These are all mine…good or bad. Plays are mostly gut feelings.



Utah St -4 vs Boise State (best bet)…………….Utah State has always had a great home court advantage. Boise on the road a completely different team than at home. Utah St is 8-0 at home, while Boise is only 1-6 on the road. Home court makes all the difference in this one. Utah St by at least ten.

Wright St -1 vs Cleveland St (best bet)……….Wright at the top and Cleveland St at the bottom of the Horizon league this year. Cleveland St not much of a home court advantage as they are 5-4 at home this year. Wright simply the better team and they will win a close one tonight.


Indiana St +5 vs Drake (strong play)……….I know home court is huge in this conference, but Indy St simply the much better team this year. Indy St is 4-2, while Drake is 1-6 in coference. Drake has no chance in the conference this year, while Indy still has a shot. My gut tells me Drake finds a way to win this game, but not by five. Five just too many.

N Iowa +8.5 vs Missouri State (strong play)……….I know all about Missouri State, especially at home, but this is just too many in a game that could help decide the conference winner. Should be a tight one.


LaSalle +4 vs Penn (regular play)…………Penn is from the Ivy League and Ivy league teams on the road do not scare me. LaSalle although not very good, is playing decent ball right now. They only lost by two at Dayton a couple of games ago. Nice home dog here. LaSalle should win this game outright on their home floor.

Bradley +8.5 vs Creighton (regular play)…………All you hear about is bet the home team in the Missouri Valley Conference…if it were only that easy. I did not really realize I did this until making this play, but I have all road teams tonight….that is scary. Just a gut feeling on this one.



Having surgery on my other hand Friday. Had it on my right hand two weeks ago, so I will not be posting any plays on Friday. I will have no use of one hand and only partial use of the other for about 7-10 days, so that will suck. Saturday is in question if I play or not. I might just take the weekend off, except for the nfl playoff games…depends on how I am feeling.

I am going to post my nfl plays for those interested in the nfl thread later today. Probably looking like I might not be back posting college hoops until Monday morning.
