| $75 Florida -20 St. Peter's is only returning one starter, but that is Keydren Clark who is the two-time NCAA Division 1 scoring champion. The only problem is that the new starters joining him in the lineup have not really produced much in the last few years as backups. Ivan Bozovic is a 6-10 senior who averaged 5.5ppg/5.4 rebounds, Kinzey Reeves is a 7 footer who is a junior but only averaged 1.2 points and 2 boards a game. When these guys show production I might be more willing to take a chance with them. Florida has a ton of athletes and four of their starters averaged double figures last year. They have the size inside that can dominate on the boards and the defensive end. In the exbition season, AL horford, Joakim Noah, and Chris Richard combined to go 29-39 from the floor averaged 24.5 rebounds, blocked 14 shots and scored 37 points a game, while also being able to share the dime. Lee Humphrey and Taurean Green both hit a high percentage of their 3pointers in the first two x-bit games and should be able to continue their ways as once again the teams will be playing under international rules and 3 point line. My concerns in this game is if Florida will be able to keep up the intesity and their ability to keep shooting the rock well. If the outside game struggles and another player for St. Peter's can step up, a cover may be in question. I'll take my chances with a high-octane team coached by Billy Donovan who returns many players looking to make the step up from role player to superstar. $50 Albany -3 Don't know much about either of the teams, but Albany is the preseason favorite in their conference returning four starters and 5 players who scored in double figures, plus they have the size/experience advantage. They're led by two preseasons all-conference players in Jamar Wilson and Lucious Jordan. Oakland pulled some upsets to win their conference tourney and their first NCAA game last year, but only return one starter from that team. They have some talented transfers and it sounds like some pretty good recruits, but early in the season it will probably take them some time to gel. I'll look for the team that is expected to make some noise in their conference to handle a team from a similiar conference who is in rebuilding mode any day. Seeing the only time I've ever seen Oakland play is when they took on Marquette either last year or two years ago, I am only going by what I've read, and take the favorite for some small action. Best of luck. Game notes for the two games can be found here.
