My Record: 4-1 +$267

Bowling Green -2 (now -5.5) vs. Wesetern Carolina
Bowling Green is taking a team that was 18-11 last year in the MAC and trying to rebuild. They're roster this year has 5 freshmen and a JC All-American joining the team, and only two starters remain. They've lost 2 of the top 3 scorers in the league from last year, and will have to look to find its scoring elsewhere. Martin Samarco (the JC transfer) averaged 21 points last year, and should be able to fill in the void nicely. For those who are worried it will take adjustment time, I remember when Zack Morley transfered from Indian Wells to Wisconsin and he fit in quite nicely almost immediately as another JC All-American.

Wesetern Carolina was 8-22 last year and only 3-13 in conference, but return four starters. I actually don't know if them returning starters is a good thing with that record. Larry Hunter is also taking over the head coaching duties for the first time this season, so there will probably have to be an adjustment period for him as well.

My thoughts on looking at this game is both teams are pretty inexperienced, but Bowling Green has a HUGE talent edge from top to bottom. The freshmen coming in (one has international experience and two were all-state in Michigan) could make an immediate impact. Including having a dynamic backcoourt and this team come conference play will be a team to recon with.

MY PLAY: $100 Bowling Green -2

*At -5.5 I'd still be on them but for either $50 or $75, although I think Bowling Green wins this game by DD's
