| -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEMO only returns 3 lettermen of which 2 were starters last year. They are 2-1 on the year with wins over Truman St. 59-56, and at S. Dakota St. 75-68, and their lone loss at home against IPFW 64-65. SEMO has a much more athletic team this year than in years past. With so many new players on the roster they look very rough in the early season trying to implement the offensive and defensive sets. Their defense has actually been pretty good so far as they have held opponents to .381 shooting and .298 from 3. The strength of this team is their guards. As a whole this is probably the best I can remember. They are led by Roy Booker, a shooting guard, who sat out last season under NCAA transfer rules, after avg. 9.3 points per game as a junior at Montana in 2003-04. He spent his first two seasons of college at Allen County Community College, where he was named the best junior college shooting guard in the nation by The Sporting News. SEMO is shooting .413 from the floor and .481 from 3. Nebraska is also a young team with 9 players who had never seen action in a Huskers uniform before this year. They are 3-0 on the year with all their wins coming at home. They were against Longwood 80-65, Yale 73-64, and Louisiana Tech 59-56. So far this year Nebraska is shooting .398 from the floor and .308 from 3, while allowing their opponents .385 from the floor and .371 from 3. Historically SEMO has played very well against teams from the power confrences. If they can stay close to Nebraska on the boards and not have Nebraska shoot 19-20 more freethrows they should be able to cover this number. SEMO +16- |

| And that's a winner. Nebraska 69 SEMO 54 And I'm just sick after this game as SEMO is MY team and could have very easily won the game. They played for most of the first half with 4 guards because of fouls and still outrebounded Nebraska 39-37 for the game. But only shot 30% for the game and 27% from three including 4 missed layups. It was nothing Nebraska did we just missed open looks. Oh well, we have alot of new players and it's still early in the season. They still gave us a winner. 10-1ytd |
