1.16.06 Monday MLK Style - Brown Bag me a 40!

Had a party last night celebrating Martin Luther King day today, so I'm a bit hungover. My roommate had an excellent idea. We brown bagged 40's and had some spiked watermelon. All we were missing was Fuzzy Zoeller at the door greeting people and really would have been good to go.

Not too bad of a day yesterday, I need a couple more like that. Kind of disappointed that all of the afternoon games aren't lined at all. Full slate of games on ESPN, and I can't get a piece of that action.

It also looks like a ton of road teams tonight, and I'm kind of worried about that.

PLAYS:

$150 Kansas -2.5
Playing Kansas is like watching Jackle and Hyde - you never know what you're going to get. They have a much much much deeper and better roster though than Mizzou, so hopefully the talent comes out to play in this one.

$100 S. Illinois +6.5
I'm going to take the team with the unbelievable against the spread record this year. Plus they know how to play some serious defense. Should be a game in the mid 60's or less, so I'll take the 6.5 points.

$125 UConn -1
I still don't have that much faith in Syracuse. Their road win against Cincy was pretty impressive, but I just don't feel that this team is very good. UConn already shit the bed once on the road this year in their loss to Marquette. I don't think either of these two teams will be lacking any intensity tonight. The key to this game for me is the poor ATS record that Syracuse has at home the last 3 years of 12-26.

I'll be back later this afternoon with the WCC games, and maybe a shit game or two.

GL tonight man, be weary of mizzouri/kansas...mizzou always plays kansas well esp at home and usualy beats them once a yr...
