Default Fondybadger's Saturday 2.4.06 College Basketball - I'm a cheesehead baby...

05-06 Season College Basketball Record….....301-270-12 +$1513
1/10-1/16 52-41-3 +$43
1/17-1/23 81-79-5 +$487
1/24-1/31
43-26 +$2384
2/1 11-8-2 +$1291

2/2 7-18-1 -$2029

I'm an idiot, that's about all I can say... Wanted to go "easy" on a card I hated... I guess that's what I get when I say I'm going to be chasing all night. It's incredible though, I'm just glad I was out drinking and didn't know I ended the night 1-11. Fuck the PAC 10 - yeppers, I'm filled with hostility today. So that means no Friday Plays. I'm getting an early look on Saturday's card here, so hopefully I can calm down a bit and win some of it back.

Early Line Predictions
A very feeble attempt

Florida State at Duke -14
Probably go smaller on this game on Duke 1st Half, might take FSU for the whole game with a number like that. Just hard to bet on/against Duke.

Cincinnatti at West Virginia -11
WV was an 8 or 9 point favorite against Marquette that covered, and they were a 9.5 favorite against Notre Dame where they barely held on to win. I'll definately take game/half on anything under 10 for west virginia.

Notre Dame at Louisville -5
I think Louisville is going to be a good team to ride here for a bit after fading them without Dean in the beginning of conference season. Notre Dame like to keep right in the game losing I think 6/7 conference games by a total of 23 or some points... Would look towards Louisville though.

LSU -8 at Alabama
Should be an interesting number coming out of this game. LSU has been a mad covering machine for the first half this season so I'll probably play that, but I have a feeling Bama wins the game SU at home.

UConn -2.5 at Indiana
Without White, Indiana doesn't have the size to match up against UConn. Killingsworth will need to have a hell of a game and avoid foul trouble. He's one of those players that could put up 25 points or be completely unseen and not break double digits. I'm definately liking UConn straight up, but we'll see where the line falls on this one.

Marquette at Villanova -13
I think Marquette would keep the game in single digits, but then I felt that way about the West Virginia game. Depending on the health of Marquette guards, this could be an interesting game to keep an eye on similar to the UWGB game on Thursday night.

UWM -3 at Butler
UWM had a hiccup at Wright State Thursday night, while Butler needed overttime as a 14 point favorite to get past UWGB. I look for a complete and utter domination by UWM. Anything under 5 for UWM I'm pounding the shit out of it. More of a situational play than anything.

Clemson at North Carolina -6
I'm a sucker and like playing UNC.

Arizona at UCLA -4
Should be an interesting game, but will probably avoid the Pac10 at all costs.

Michigan -1 at Iowa
Think I'll learn and not bet against Iowa at home? We'll have to see who the favorite is I guess in that one. Going to be a REALLY close game... anything more than a 3 point favorite one way, I'm taking the dog.

Boston College -7.5 at Virginia Tech
Will BC be hungover from their loss at Duke or come out firing? I'm liking Boston College to dominate the game.

Michigan State -6.5 at Northwestern
Time to start fading the Wildcats. MSU pulls off a late cover?

Wisconsin -5 at Purdue
I'm interested in seeing how this line comes out. Wisconsin is fade material from here on out...

Other plays I'll be looking at:
Texas 1H
Ohio State 1H
UWGB
Illinois 1H
Santa Clara
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I just wish the lines would come out earlier for Saturday's games. Especially with all the shit they have on Friday nights. Have a good Friday evening everyone and I'll be back late Friday night with my early Saturday plays.

Last night at a different site, I posted a few different plays... Was really wasted at the time, so I had to go back through and check what the hell I did... My local has to love me today....
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Here's my final card through the 2pm games. I'm going to go back to bed. I added $150 play on St. Joe's, and then I bought back some of my plays on West Virginia game/half, Louisville, LSU, Marquette game/half, and UWM... Starting the day down $95 on those buy backs... Still have too much on the early games, but I didn't want to spend more money on buying back winners. Also I can just assume I got West Virginia at -7.5 instead of -4... although it's possible I have them at -7... as for the Marquette first half line??? Who the fuck knows... got to love the +7 when the line for the game is +12.5... I'm thinking I actually have that is +6/6.5... As for Hofstra, I'm use to trying to fuck my local over, but I think I did a number on myself. Game opened at -3, and it's at -3.5 now... NEVER was at -4... Don't have a clue why I have that makred down...

0-0 -$95

Big Plays
$500 LSU -2.5
$500 UConn -4
$500 Marquette +12.5
$500 UWM +3
$400 Hofstra -4
$300 UWM 1H +2
$300 LSU 1H -2
$300 W. Virginia -7.5
$200 Louisville -5
$200 S. Illinois +5
$200 UConn 1H -2
$200 Marquette 1H +7
$200 Hofstra 1H -2

Other Plays
$150 Duke 1H -8
$150 W. Virginia 1H -4
$150 St. Joes 1h -8
$75 Miami +4
$50 Texas Tech +6.5
Hofstra -3.5 at Delaware
In Hofstra you have a 15-4 team playing against a 6-14 team. Hofstra had been pretty consistent away from home this year production wise (pts/defensive scoring). In their last 5 games Delaware has struggled to put points on the board, but they've been covering the spread in 7 out of their last 8 games. Hofstra won by 12 in an earlier meeting this year playing at home. That said I think they've improved from that point on, while Delaware has seem to lose all their confidence. This could be one of those games where the home dog, who looks completely outmatched on paper wins it, but I think Hofstra will dominate this one.
