| 05-06 1/10-1/16 52-41-3 +$43 1/17-1/23 81-79-5 +$487 1/24-1/31 43-26 +$2384 2/1 2/2 2/3 No Plays 2/4 28-15-3 +$2814 2/5 No Plays I took a complete ass beating on the Super Bowl. Didn't think it would be possible to lose 1H, Game, Game over, and two props, but I managed to go 0-5 on the game. Then figure I woke up at about 11:15am (central time), and I missed the start of some CBB games I would have wanted to play it was a double whammy. Jesus did Pittsburgh Basketball team really blow it or what?!? Anyways, I didn't drink on Sunday night here so I have some what of a clear head and that actually feels good. Not a big fan of the card so I'm going to go EASY and actually follow through with that compared to the dumbass move I made Thursday. Louisville at Cincinnati -3.5 This is one of those games that I would normally love to play. I'll maintain with the return Dean, Louisville is going to go on a stretch run here and make a mini run in the NCAA tournament or at least the NIT. What I'm not confident in is Louisvilles ability to play on the road against a quality team. Less than two weeks ago Louisville won by 17 at home against Cincinnatti. Looking at the numbers though, that win looks extremely lobsided. Cincy was 5-23 for 21.7% from 3 point range (compared to about 31% on the year) and had 25 turnovers (averaging 11 on the season), while shooting 52.9% from the ft line (compared to 75% on the season). Compared to the season average that's about a 20 point difference from their averages. Excluding the figures from that game, Cincinnati's averages would have predicted a win over Louisville by about 4 points. Now they're playing at home... So can Cincinnati play to their season averages? My thoughts on this game is Cincinnati wins straight up. Depending on the situation, I see this being a game that Cincy has to hit free throws down the stretch to cover. I think they do that, but I'm not sure if I'm confident enough to play that yet. We'll see how the line moves throughout the day, and possibly play a ML parlay. Another note is Louisville is 5-1 ATS the last 3 years against Cincy. Delaware -7 at James Madison Call me crazy but I could see JM winning this game straight up. I won't touch it, but Delaware only has 6 wins on the season themselves and are pretty bad. JM just needs to avoid that stretch where they're outscored 19-3 and they can stay in ball games. I'd have a strong lean to the +7 here, but will not touch it. Texas -11 at Texas Tech I'd like to take Texas 1H and game here, but I'll wait to hear from Denny or some of the other Big 12 experts before I put in the play. TT is 0-8 ATS as an underdog this year, they were embarrassed in the first meeting at Texas by 34, and Texas is 8-0 ATS at TT since 1997... Definately looks like a stronger play on Texas. Thinking $200 Texas 1H -6 and $150 Texas -11. Pepperdine at San Francisco -5.5 I'm pretty much making this play on how poorly Pepperdine plays away from home, and how SF already won on the road by 7 or 8 in this series sometime in January. Smaller play... $75 San Francisco -5.5 Santa Clara at Portland -3 Not even going to touch this game... It's the devil in disguise... anything could happen. I actually see Santa Clara covering this, thus obviously probably winning SU. Just won't touch it. Loyola Marymount at San Diego -8.5 LM won by 2 at home, and they play pretty well on the road. Think San Diego wins this game, but I would be shocked if it was by 4-7 points... Small Play for me on Loyola for $50. Fresno State -8 at Idaho This could be another one of those games where you just need to pound the road chalk. I really like Fresno in this one, but I'm going to leave it for the time being and sleep on it. Someone want to talk me off of Fresno? Otherwise it will be my biggest play for about $250/200... St. Mary's Cal at Gonzaga -12.5 Zags have had a horrible time covering opponents at home. As they play up/down to their competition. Zags should roll in this one, but I'm just not completely confident. I'll probably play the Zags as it's a late, TV game... Nothing more than $100 on it though. College of Charleston -1 at Elon CofC has been on a nice winning streak lately. Elon had a few suprises early in the year, but have really leveled off. I'm mainly drawn to this game because well a)Meeks is on them b)CofC has good road stats, not much different from their home numbers c) CofC is 6-1 ATS in road games d)CofC has a commanding dominance in the front court, especially rebounding ability. Play is on CofC for $125. The other three shit games I'll look at sometime on Monday afternoon. Plays: $75 San Francisco -5.5 $50 Loyola Marymount +8.5 $125 College of Charleston -1 Leans: Cincinnati (ML parlay?) Texas 1H -6 ($200) Texas -11 ($150) Fresno State -8 ($250) Fresno State 1H -4 ($200) Gonzaga 1H-6.5 ($75) Gonzaga -12.5 ($50) -------------------------------------------------------------------- I was doing pretty damn good in NBA, but went on a two week losing streak before Christmas and then was away from the internet for two weeks, so I've only played one game since Christmas. Decided I wanted to get back into the action a bit more again. But I'm not completley confident in my NBA skills right now. In the NBA I make all plays based on feel and don't look at the numbers at all. Thus, I need to have a feel for how a team is playing. Think I might have got that back. Remember these numbers are all since the before Christmas. 2005 NBA Spreads: 120-74-6 +$3407 2005 NBA Totals: 2005 NBA Money Lines: 0-2 -$150 2005 NBA Season: 124-83-7 +$2916 Monday NBA Plays: $50 Houston +4 $75 Bucks +8 $50 Minnesota +10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sometime on Monday after I wake up I've got a pretty funny story to tell about my experience just off the campus of Loyola Marymount... Any of you guys/gals on here from the airport area of LA/Santa Monica area? |
