| E. KENTUCKY AT JACKSONVILLE ST. -4- The streach run has started in the OVC. The top 4 teams host a first round game in the OVC tournament. Jacksonville St. is presently sitting in the no. 4 position with E. Kentucky 1 game behind in the no. 5 spot. Both teams should come to play. Jacksonville St. lost earlyer this year at E. Kentucky 86-78. I look for Jacksonville State to get their revenge tonight. Don't look for them to get a big lead and then coast into the win like they did against Morehead. This will be a much closer game than that but I look for Jacksonville St. to come away with the cover. JACKSONVILLE ST. -4- MURRAY ST. AT TENN. ST. +3 Murray St. is firmly entrenched in the top spot of the OVC with a 3 game lead. Tenn. St. is currently in a log jam at the no. 5 slot. Tenn. St. has been playing very well at home this year. Murray doesn't have as much to play for as Tenn. St. does but knowing Murray as I do I believe coach Cronin will have this team very focased and start with this game getting them ready for tournament play. I'm taking the better team in what should be a very good game laying the small no. MURRAY ST. -3 Both of these lines are starting to move. If they are only a half point off I would buy them back to these numbers. |

| E. KENTUCKY 72 JACKSONVILLE ST. 71 loser MURRAY ST. 77 TENN. ST. 52 winner We get a split on the night with Murray starting to play like the conference champs they will be and Jacksonville St. falling behind by 9 at half and then mounting a second half comeback that fell just short of getting into overtime. With the game tied at 71 all the Gamecocks fouled Matt Witt with 1.2 seconds on the clock. He hit the front end of the 1 and 1 and the game was over. Another tough way to lose. This was a huge game for Jacksonville St. at home and they came out slow and just couldn't recover from the bad first half. 1-1 on the night. record now 43-30-3 ytd 58.9% |
