| 378 Wyoming-12.5@Carib Even though everything fell apart for the cowboys down the stretch last year, this year has all the makings for a potential turnaround, especially against a bottom tier program(Utah St.-this team is weak in the trenches after losing three offensive line starters and their best defensive lineman to graduation) in the WAC.The Cowboys have the pieces in place for a bounceback 2006 campaign, starting with their home opener against lowly Utah State. New QB Jake Doss was the runner up for Mr Football in Kentucky as a high school senior, so he comes with a strong pedigree. Doss will have the benefit of four returning starters protecting him on the offensive line, three of them seniors. The Cowboys have a super sophomore running back Wynel Seldon, who averaged 4.7 yards per carry as a frosh last year, also taking the pressure off their new QB.
