| 9-30 College FB Best Pick Record = 3-0 Strong Pick Record = 3-1 Regular Pick Record = 1-1 ----------------------------------------------- Michigan @ Minnesota Best Pick = Michigan -9.5 Michigan is going to be in the hunt for the national title up till their last game vs. Ohio St. Minnesota seems to be an underachiever this year and won't be able to hang with the big boys like Michigan. The Wolverines went in to South Bend and crushed Notre Dame 47-21. They should win by 14 or more in their second road contest of the year. ------------------------------------------------- Alabama @ Florida Best Pick = Florida -14 Florida just has way to much firepower for Alabama to even stay close in this one, expecially being at the swamp. Kentucky played Florida semi tough last week, so some might think Florida is slipping some, but every team is going to have a below average game once in awhile. Alabama is coming off a rough 1 point loss to Arkansas as well, which probably let a bit of air out of their balloon. ------------------------------------------------ Rutgers @ South Florida Strong Pick = Rutgers -3.5 Rutgers cracked the top 25 this week and are starting to get some respect. Led by running back Ray Rice, they should put up big numbers against an overated 3-1 team in South Florida. Two of South Florida's wins were by a combined 8 points against two lousy teams. Rutgers will also have a bye week after this one and would love to be 5-0 heading into it,which would make them the big men on campus for the next two weeks. --------------------------------------------------- California @ Oregon St. Strong Pick = California -9.5 Cal has beaten there last 3 opponents by 26 pts or more, and that includes last weeks stomping of No.22 ranked Arizona State. Their only loss was in the season opener against a really good Tennessee team. Oregon State (2-1) have beaten Eastern Washington and Idaho, which isn't saying much, and when they played a tuffer opponent in Boise State, they got romped 42-14. ------------------------------------------------ Ohio St. @ Iowa Strong Pick = Ohio St. -7 Anytime you can get the number 1 team in the nation and only spot the other team one score, I think it's worth the risk. Iowa is a good team who is 4-0, but they have not played anyone tuff yet. Ohio St. has played 2 ranked opponents thus far including the defending champion Texas, and won both games decisevely. They're also coming off a sub par game against Penn State, and it's not to often a top 10 team, let alone the number 1 team, has two sub par outings back to back. ------------------------------------------------- Houston @ Miami Regular Pick = Miami -16 Miami Will more than likely want to beat up on someone after getting beat up by Louisville last week. Houston is 4-0,playing a 1-2 team and getting 16. That should tell you something right there. Miami's season will be a major disapointment if they don't win here on out,and do it big. Miami's coach is also on the hot seat with the fans after starting the season 1-2,and will try to put on a show for the home crowd in this one. ------------------------------------------------- USC @ Washington St. Regular Pick = Washington St. +17 Washington St. bring a 3-1 record into there biggest game of the year against USC. Washington is a good team with a good defense who won't be able to stop USC's offense, but somewhat contain them. USC WR Dwayne Jarret, won't be playing because of a shoulder injury. This is a big loss for the Trojans. Jarret is their biggest playmaker and will be a first rounder in next years NFL draft. I look for Washington to hang tuff in this one, and atleast get a back door win being spotted 17 points. --------------------------------------------------- |
