| LAST WEEK Best Bets (1-1)(-0.30 units) Strong Plays (2-0)(+4.00 units) Regular Plays (0-2)(-2.20 units) Total (3-3)(+1.50 units) OPINIONS (1-2)(no units, just for fun) FOR THE YEAR Best Bets (8-6)(+4.20 units) Strong Plays (7-6)(+0.80 units) Regular Plays (7-11)(-5.10 units) Total (22-23)(-0.10 units) Inched a little closer to the plus side for the year. I am actually plus in the pro’s and down a small amount in the colleges. Complete opposite of what I am used to. I still have not had that breakout week in college football that I usually have, maybe this will be the week. Lets try this one more time. C Florida +10.5 vs Pittsburgh (regular play)………….Everybody is starting to make a big deal about how well Pitt and QB Palko are playing. Not me and I am a pitt fan. The only decent team they played (Mich St), they lost to. This is one of those scary games for pitt. They have a habit of losing to teams like this, especially on the road. I don’t think they lose the game, but I don’t see them covering this many points either. Pitt by 7. Maryland -3 vs Virginia (best bet)………..I know neither one of these two teams are very good, but in my opinion Maryland is head and shoulder above Virginia. This is the worst Virginia team that I can remember in a long time. This might not be a blowout playing in Virginia, but it does not have to be with the line only being three. Sometimes games can be this simple to pick, like this one. Syracuse +25 vs West Virginia (best bet)……………..Just a strong gut feeling here. West Virginia is due for a close game, or at least one where they don’t cover. They seem to be walking over everybody. I think they might underestimate the Orangemen in this one. The cuse are an improved team this year and I think getting this many is just too much. I see WVU winning this one in the 14-20 point range. S Florida -3.5 vs N Carolina (strong play)……….I will admit that I do not know much about S Florida. It just seems real strange/funny to see S Florida favored at N Carolina. It seems to me that anytime you have a no-name team or one from a lesser conference giving points to a major conference team, especially at home that the fav just about always comes through. For that reason alone, I like S Florida. I know as well the Carolina is really down, while S Florida is 4-2. Penn State +5.5 vs Michigan (strong play)…………I could kick myself for not taking this earlier when the line was seven. I hope it does not matter. Penn State just always seems to play great at night. Keep in mind that they gave OSU all they could handle in Columbus already this year, so for them to battle Michigan at home would be no surprise at all. It helps that Michigan’s WR is out as well. I see this game won a no more than 4 points either way. Rutgers +2.5 vs Navy (regular play)……….A couple of very surprising teams and a couple of great stories with these two programs doing so well. I think the passing game of Rutgers will be the difference in this one as they remain undefeated another week. OPINIONS (just for fun, no units) Wake Forest +3 vs NC State………Too much being made of States win last week vs Florida State. Everybody said they stunk before that game. I am not going to read too much into that game. Auburn +2 vs Florida………..Just love the SEC home dogs. I am shocked Auburn has moved to the dog here. Again, too much being read into last weeks Auburn loss. Won’t happen this week. Iowa State +19.5 vs Oklahoma…………This will be a shootout. Even though Iowa State’s defense really sucks, this is a lot of points to give an offense the caliber of the Cyclones. This should be a 50-34 type of game. San Jose St -16 vs Utah State…………Just going against maybe the worst offense in college football. It is right up there with Temple’s. I feel pretty good about my picks this week. I should be on the plus side for the year come Sunday morning. Good Luck Everybody!! |

The Citrus Bowl never gets many that show up to the game for the home team anyway. Thank goodness for these midweek games so we can get a true feel for the teams! Did you see the horrible tackling by CFL against Marshall? Best of luck, but Pitt looks strong in this one. | |

| Oh yeah, LOVE San Jose State as well!! I'll be pounding that one as Utah St has a letdown after the huge victory against Fresno State, who has officially mailed it in! San Jose is coming off their bye week, and at home should just HAMMER Utah!!! GL Jillmark! ![]() |

| hey man i like ur wake and usf plays a lot tomorrow...rutgers looks like a nice one as well...be careful w the cuse play, just my opinion but i dont see how the cuse d can stop the wvu rushing attack for 4 quarters...syr offense isnt good enough to keep their d off the field and itll wear down...only a matter of time b4 slaton and white gash them up...gl on em all bro
