I Went away this past weekend, so I did not play anything. The record posted above was for two weeks ago. It was not a great week, but it was another winning week. Lets hope this past week off did not stop the momentum I had going. Lets try this one more time.

Wednesday, November 15th

Bowling Green -4 vs Miami-Ohio (opinion)………..Sometimes it is too easy to over think a game. We have a 1-9 team playing at a 4-6 team and the line is only 4. How can I pass this up? Maybe I am a sucker. We will find out Wednesday night.

Thursday, November 16th

Pittsburgh +11 vs West Virginia (regular play)……………..Let me start by saying that I am a huge pitt fan, but also a huge Dave Wannstedt hater. I think he needs to be fired after this year. He has taken a very good team and made them into a very average team. This game is their season now. Anything, and I mean anything can happen when Pitt/ WVU get together. I think home field for the panthers makes the difference in this one. Pitt needs a win in the worst way and this game could salvage their season and maybe get them into a bowl. I think Pitt pulls out all the stops and just throws the ball a million times and at least gets the cover. Eleven is a very live home dog in this one. Of course there is also the pontential for WVU to trounce them as well. That is why I am only making this a regular play. If it was another couch I would make this a strong or even best bet play for the week, but I just don’t trust Dave.

Saturday, November 18th

Michigan +7 vs Ohio State (best bet)…………….Ohio State is probably the better team and obviously both teams want this one really badly. I think Michigan has more to prove than Ohio State does. This just has all the making of a 3-4 points game and it will go down to the final minutes before being decided. I feel Michigan has more to prove than Ohio State and college football is a game of emotions This will be a great game Saturday. I see Ohio State winning by only three.

Michigan St +17.5 vs Penn State (best bet)………..Looks like both my best bets are staying in the state of Michigan this week. Penn State destroyed Temple last week. BIG DEAL!! Penn States offense is just not very good and Mich State can points some points on the board. They will not need to score many to cover two touchdowns and a field goal vs an offensively challenged nittany lion tea. Just too many points here. Penn State might get luck and win by as many as 14.

Maryland +7.5 vs Boston College (strong play)………….Hard to believe that Wake Forest and Maryland are the class of the ACC this year. People were shocked when Wake was getting 7.5 at Florida State and Wake won big. Now MD is getting 7.5 at BC. Maryland will not win big like Wake last week, but their defense will keep them in this game with a shot at winning outright in the fourth quarter. This one might be a low scoring game and I will take a touchdown in a defensive battle anyday. Niether team will win this game by more than seven.

Idaho +10 vs Fresno State (strong play)…………….Another one when looking at the records you wonder why this line is so high. Idaho is 4-6, not very good, but Fresno is 2-7, even worse. New coach Dennis Erickson has Idaho moving in the right direction and this is a winnable game for them. They might win outright, but getting ten is as good as gold.

Wake Forest +2 vs Virginia Tech (regular play),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Tech has surprised people this year having the record they have, but I still feel they are slightly over rated, especially on the road. Wake apparently still getting no respect. Right there is their motivation. They will be fired up and have a great home crown behind them and find a way to knock off Tech this week.. I am a believer in Wake. This is a great football story this year and I hope it continues.

Opinions (JUST FOR FUN, NO UNITS)

Western Michigan +16 vs Florida State…………….Something just not right with Florida State this year. A decent 7-3 W Michigan team can stay within this number vs a shellshocked Seminol team this week.

S Florida +16.5 vs Louisville………..Have to wonder where Louisvilles head will be after getting knocked out of the national picture last week. S Florida playing better recently. S Florida has more to gain this week than Louisville this week. Louisville by no more than ten this week.

Vanderbilt +8 vs Tennessee………….I have always been a sucker for Vandy as a home dog vs anybody….might as well try it again.

I have a few others, but I don’t want to bet too many games. It has been a long time since I am winning in both college and pro in the same season. It is a great feeling….something new for me.

Good Luck Everybody!!

Thanks Nick. The wife and I went to Chicago for four days just to get away from it all. Needed a break from things.

Well, I hope you enjoyed your mini-vacation. Sometimes we need a break just to get away from the phone, tv and everyday hum-drum ruts that we get into!!
