Default ncaa football 11/29 thru 12/1

LAST WEEK

Best Bets (1-1)(-0.30 units)
Strong Plays (0-2)(-4.40 units)
Regular Plays (2-0)(+2.00 units)

Overall (3-3)(-2.70 units)

FOR THE YEAR

Best Bets (16-14)(+1.80 units)
Strong Plays (13-16)(-9.20 units)
Regular Plays (27-22)(+2.80 units)

Overall (56-52)(-4.60 units)

Everytime I get close to being in the plus, I have fallen back this year. I am now down 4.60 units on the year and time is running out to get back in the plus. The regular season is winding down real fast, actually I think this is it this week. Not a full card this week, but I like some games and I might as well try and end the season with a bang. I usually don’t do so well in bowl games, so I might as well try and take my final shot at some money in this last week. Here we go.

Thursday Night

Louisville -2.5 vs Rutgers (regular play)……………..I really like Louisville in this game but I am only playing it for a one unit play simply because it is Louisville and you never know what you will get from them. This is at Louisville and you get a great offense. Also a win might get them into a small bowl game. Rutgers is not the same team they were last year. I really think Louisville will be fired up and come to play and win this game.

Friday Night

New Mexico St +13 vs Fresno State (regular play)……………I am forcing this pick since it is a Friday night game. Fresno St is clearly the better team, but home dogs seem to do well in these weeknight games, so this being the final week of the regular season I will force a play of this one.

Saturday

Pittsburgh +28.5 vs West Virginia (best bet)………….I MUST BE NUTZ. All season long I have been making my anti-Dave plays and making money in doing it. With me being a Pitt fan, all I want for Christmas is for Dave Wannestadt to be fired, but he has his team playing well enough and with enough begging, he might get to come back for one more try. This is supposed to be “The backyard brawl” where anything can happen, but how can WVU take Pitt seriously? West Virginia wins and they are playing for the national championship. They are at home, playing the most underachieving team in the world, and have been blowing everybody out. My gut tells me that Pitt will definitely lose this game, but will give their strongest effort of the year and get the cover. WVU will wake up some time in the second half and put Pitt away, but I just don’t see them covering this generous line. It is hard to overlook a game when a win puts you in the national championship, but WVU just might do that and be a little cocky heading into this one. Four touchdowns is a lot of points. I will take it.

Oklahoma -3 vs Missouri (best bet)…………………You have to give Missouri and Kansas a ton of credit for doing what they have done this season. The sooners were supposed to be the class of this conference this year and they are. It is just that Kansas and Missouri have taken some of the spotlight with the seasons they have had. It ends for Missouri here. The cream almost always rises to the top and that will be the case in this one. If this game were at Missouri I would say they have a shot. I don’t look for this game to be all that close. The sooners will win this game by double digits. I think it all falls apart for Missouri in this game. This might even be a blowout.

Louisiana Tech +7.5 vs Nevada (best bet)…………Not really understanding this line at all. The only thing in favor of Nevada is home field. These are two very evenly matched teams. If anything I think La Tech might be the better team. The odds makers are pretty good when making lines, so I can see Nevada winning this game, but by no more than seven points. This should be a tight one going down to the final minutes. This one real solid to me.

Florida Atlantic +15 vs Troy (strong play)…………..Don’t really follow these two teams very closely, but many games in this final weekend are great matchups and should be very close games. No doubt that Troy is the better team and they are at home, but they are not that much better than the second place Owls. Bookies being very generous this weekend with points.

UCLA +20 vs USC (strong play)…………….No doubt that USC is playing their best ball of the season right now, but they are not where they want to be and that is with the possibility of playing for the national title again. I think this game emotionally means more to the Bruins and in a rivalry like this, twenty points has a very good chance to come in handy. Taking the generous point spread again.

Tennessee +7.5 vs LSU (regular play)……………….Not sure what LSU’s state of mind will be for this one after losing last week and the strong rumors and questions about head coach going to Michigan. If this were at LSU, then I would not be playing the game, but on a neutral field I am all over the 14th ranked Vols. Like USC, LSU is not where they expected or wanted to be.

That is all from me this week. I went a little crazy and played three best bets and a total of eight games on a fairly light schedule. Trying to go out with a bang I guess. I have a feeling there will be no in betweens for me this weekend. I am going to do great or get pounded.

Even though I am fighting to get back into the plus on this final weekend, it has been great fun and I have enjoyed posting my plays this season. If nothing else I hope you guys enjoyed my weird write-ups.

Good Luck Everybody!! I will have one thread for my entire Bowl Season as soon as they start.

Mark, you answered your own question in the same sentence. It's not a matter of taking Pitt seriously, but, they will it is a HUGH Rivalry and has been for years. WV puts the nails in the coffin for ole' Davey Boy.

Quote,"It ends for Missouri here". Another I disagree with, Missouri had Oklahoma whipped in their meeting at Oklahoma during the regular season and aTURNOVER late sealed Missouri's fate and they lost that one by 10 points. I really thought this game would be PICK EM' !!! Now they are getting Oklahoma on a neutral field and +3 points, I have to go with Mizzou in this one to get a little revenge in the same season.

BOL Bro!!!
