I am going to go ahead and post all of my plays from Saturday through Tuesday right now. Not sure how much time I will be around next few days. I have three plays pending for Friday which are not included in my current record. I copied and pasted them here to make it easy for everybody.

Boston College -5 vs Michigan State (best bet)…………..My first best bet (3 unit) play of the bowl season and I really like this one. For starters we are going against a Big Ten team, that is always a good thing in bowl games. Purdue was the first one the other night and they got the win but not the cover. I have like this BC team all season long. I love their QB too. Matt Ryan makes good things happen and he is going to put up a lot of points in this one. I really do not think this game will be all that close. I see a 14 or better point win vs yet another over rated Big 10 school.

Houston +6 vs TCU (strong play)…………..At first I had a hard time picking anybody in this game. The line opened at 3.5 and has gone to 6. I am grabbing the six points in a game where they are very capable of winning outright. Houston played very well to finish the season, while TCU was supposed to be much better than they were. TCU plays some pretty good defense, but I really think this Houston offense can put at least 24 on the board and that should be enough for the cover. A few more than that and they might just get the win as well.

Oregon St -4.5 vs Maryland (regular play)……………What the heck! Might as well played the third game of the night too, but only for one unit. There is nothing special about Maryland this year. The pac-10 had many surprise teams this year. OSU is the better team, from the better conference and we are only laying a few points. worth a shot for one unit.



Saturday

Connecticut +2 vs Wake Forest (regular play)………………Not much reasoning behind this one other than I feel Connecticut is the better team. Very evenly matched teams that could go either way. Just a gut feeling here.

C Florida -3 vs Mississippi St (regular play)……………I just have not been that impressed with Miss St this year. They have a very good defense, but not much of an offense. I feel C Florida will find a way to score enough points and get the win, something like 24-17.

Penn State -5 vs Texas A&M (regular play)…………….Another one unit play today. I like all of these games but am not in love with any of them. I have bashed the Big 10 during these bowls, but there is something about Joe Paterno when he is given plenty of time to prepare for a game….he finds ways to win. I hate Penn State and would love to see them lose, but I have to bet with my head and not my heart in this one.



Sunday

Alabama -3.5 vs Colorado (regular play)……………Not sure either team deserves a bowl game here. I think Bama is the better team with the better coach and will win this game. I hate that 3.5 line though…..wish it were three instead. I can see Bama winning by a field goal. I almost took Colorado because of that.




Monday

Oklahoma St -4 vs Indiana (best bet)…………………..Finally another best bet, only my second one so far in this bowl season. I am not sure why I am taking a 6-6 team this strongly over a 7-5 team, but I really like this game. I just feel Okie St and the Big 12 is much better than Indy and the Big 10. I think Oklahoma State will run away with this one. The cowboys will either win going away or I am completely off base and they lose outright. I smell a route.

California -3.5 vs Air Force (strong play)………………..This is another game I feel will either be Air Force playing their perfect game and winning or Cal blowing them off the field. I don’t see Air Force playing the perfect game. I think Cal has way too much firepower and will run away with this. Air Force is not the greatest catchup team. If they fall behind early by 10 or more, they are done.

Florida St +10 vs Kentucky (regular play)…………..I am only playing this because of the suspensions and the world on Kentucky. No reason why Kentucky should not blow their doors in, but something tells me they won’t. If Kentucky was that big a lock, this line would be even higher than 10. I am not falling for it.

Auburn +2.5 vs Clemson (regular play)……………Another small play for me. Just going with the gut feeling again. Clemson a great home team but very beatable on the road. Auburn should win a hard fought game.



Tuesday

Missouri -4 vs Arkansas (best bet)…………………Another best bet for me. I am not impressed with Arkansas. I think they can be shutdown offensively. I love Missouri’s QB and I think he is going to put a good many points on the board in this game. This is another one of those games that when I am wrong….I am way wrong. Either Missouri blows them out or they lose this game outright. I don’t see a Missouri win without a cover.

Illinois +13.5 vs USC (strong play)…………..Something just not right with USC this year. They were finally putting it together at the end of the year, but his is one case where I feel the layoff is going to hurt them badly. Illinois is more talented than many people realize and this is way too many points to give them. It scares me taking Big 10 over Pac 10, but I do like this one and I am taking it.

Hawaii +7.5 vs Georgia (regular play)……………Might be a suckers bet, but I am taking Hawaii and their offense getting more than a touchdown. I think Hawaii has a chip on their shoulder and will pull out all stops to try and win this game.

Michigan +10 vs Florida (regular play)…………….This is the one game where we had a big favorite and it looked like a blowout to me. I am usually wrong about this type of game. I also work with a huge Michigan fan, and he guaranteed a cover, so if it lose I will blame him. Only one unit of this one.



There you have it. I have almost everything covered until next Wednesday where we only have one game per day after that. I will update my record later on if I get a chance. I love Bowl games, even though generally I suck at them. Having some good luck so far this season though….hope it continues.
