E Mich at Cinncy -10 -105

Playing Cinncy -10, 5 units, Cinncy will like to get this easy home win out of the way because after this game their schedule is pretty tough except for W Carolina. E Mich has one of the worst "D" in Div 1A and will rely on scoring alot of points which they can do but Cinncy will need to win the easy ones if they want some wins this year. Cinn is 5-1 ats in home openers last 6 years, E Mich is 0-6 ats in their openers. Since 94 E Mich 2-20 ats vs Non Conf teams..

Cen Fla at S Carolina -19.5 -105

Playing the Cocks for 3 units, Spurrier with have his team up by 20+ in the 1H and he likes to run up the scores and has a chip on his shoulder about being a failure in the NFL.. Don't like the line but just going with a hunch.

Temple at ASU -26 -108

Taking ASU -26, 3 units, I live here and wife goes to school their and she does my scouting for me, Koetter will let Keller come out and get comfortable by letting him throw and throw. For 3 qtrs they will run a wide open offense and see what Keller can do, this will also open up the running game for ASU which will get some garbage yards in the last qtr because they should be up by 35+, don't see Temples D slowing ASU down at all. ASU is 6-0 in home openers and 4-0 vs the spread. Temple is an impressive 11-4 ats as a dog last 3 years. But they will meet an ASU team looking to build off of Kellers bowl appearance last year. As long as they get it up to 35 I'll like my chances don't want to see them look ahead to the LSU game..

AZ at Utah -7 -102

taking Utah -7 5 units, Utah will have to prove their worth this year, and I think they will start off with a solid home win. Also have that 20 game winning streak on the line. AZ is still 2 years away from being a team to look out for. Their offense is their weakness and it will show in the first few games, D wise they will be solid but they're always on the field and its only a matter of time before they get tired.

Rutgers at Illy -1.5 -105

taking Illy -1.5 4 units, no real reasoning here other then I rate Illy #66 and Rutgers #61 in my power ratings and will take the home team and the low #..

Navy at Maryland -8 -105

taking Maryland -8 4 units, like Maryland srtictly based on D, they will where down Navy on both sides and control the tempo with power football. Navy played well last year and thats why I feel the line is under DD..

Fla Int at K State -34 -105

taking K St -34 7 units, K St will put 45+ on the board and I'm banking on their D to hold a terrible Offence of Fla Int to around 10. Large # to cover early but this should be a game where K St scores on 80% of their chances..

UTEP at NM ST +10.5 -110

taking NM ST +10.5 for 3 units, Don't see Tep catching anybody by surprise this year, they are 3-12 ats in road openers since 90 and 7-13 ats on grass since 99. N NM St is 9-2 ats since 91 in home openers, and 9-4 ats vs Utep. State should get some revenge from last years drubbing of 45-0 at UTEP, my power ratings have them 58 and 59 so I think we'll see a close one and high scoring..

That is for week 1 may add some with line movement and maybe some halftime plays..
