I think thats all of the stats and info i can find for todays game

Now lemme point out my keys to this game.

1. Offenses to me are fairly similar. Both teams average around 140ypg rushing and 200+ypg passing. Both teams around 30% 3rd down coversions.

2. Defensively Pittsburg is ranked 24th to 100th and gives up on average 140 yards less per game against better competion. Especially through the air only allowing 119.2 yards passing per game(this is where Rutgers will want to get the bulk of their yards)

3. Ball Control. Rutgers opponents have the ball almost 7 minutes more than they do.

4. Points allowed. Even though Rutgers give up yards playing man to man. When teams get into the redzone the find it very hard to score.(giving up 14 points per game even though they give up over 400 yards per game.) Pittsburg has very solid D only giving up 16.2 points per game.

5. Competition. Pittsburg has faced much tougher opponents thus far. Everyone says Rutgers "almost" won in Illinois. Illinois has the 133 ranked defense!

6. Kicking and Field Position. Just look at the Kicking Game stat above. Way in favor of Pittsburg.

7. History. To many people are trying to follow the trend of how many points have been put up in this series. Pittsburg will struggle to get 24 points. However Rutgers will struggle to get 17.

Allright in getting tired I'm gonna wrap this up. look for a very sloppy game with quite a few turnovers.

Because of key points 2,3,5, and 6 I am going with Pittsburg +1 1/2

Because on key points 1,4, and 7 I am going with U49

hi kc, appreciate your post. i did spot 1 mistake, though. as a nebr. fan i watched the pitt-nebr. game and know that pitt had 2 fgoals blocked. the last one they actually tried twice. they botched the snap and passed incomplete and had 1 second left to try again at the end of the game. the 2nd attempt was then blocked to save a husker win. anyway they are not 100% on fgoals but certainly appear superior by what you have written.

yeah there are some good games this weekend....penn st/minny, usc/az st, fla/alabama, etc....should be some good war rooms going....looks like lots on pitt tonight line has been moving from rutgers being favored to pitt now favored by 2 at some books
