logic says playoff system but its always gonna be flawed, i mean if you say top 8 teams make it ppl will say why not top 10, and then they will complain about the 9th team should have been ranked 7th and made it etc....bottom line is there is no perfect system and to be honest the BCS has worked fairly well, i dont think we will see a playoff type system until the day arises where 3 teams go unbeaten into the bowls and there is moaning about it

I think you could take the top 10 teams and on the 1st weekend you let 10 play 7 and 9 play 8 and that will leave you 8 teams to play off and then you would have the REAL NCAA Champion!!!!

Trust me it could and would work, it has worked in the NFL for years!!!! That would give the NCAA like 9 more games each year after the bowls are over with to make MONEY!!!!

As Neil said, 9 and 10 would bitch that they were left out and this way they have NO BITCH!!!!

C'MON guys, think about it, wouldn't you love to see the REAL NCAA CHAMPION settled on the field, instead of some computer matching 2 teams to play for the championship, that people voted on during the year??? I wonder how many of the top 2 or 3 teams got votes from diehard fans of theirs that got to vote????

Yeah I would Nick. I would like a Playoff format a whole lot better. They do it in College Hoops so why not Football.

I do think that the 2 best teams are playing in the Rose Bowl though.

Not only do I dislike the BCS Bowl format. I hate the month layoff between the season and the Bowl games. Takes away any momentum the team had during the season going into their Bowl game a month later. What a Joke!

Yea Tommy, they could get the regular season over with a few weeks earlier instead of trying to stretch it out. and just go right into the bowls and then the top 10 ranked teams in the country. And like I said earlier they could have about 9 more game to make money on and maybe try and use some of that money to help out programs that are struggling to make it year after year. That would be a LOT of advertising money available!!!
