Why is this forum NOT LARGER?

I have been here for a little over a year and must say this site has

1. No drama
2. Good cappers
3. Great admin
4. Plenty of info to go around

..so my question is why is this site not growing?

I welcome everyone here to post thier past season records in every sport in this thread.

It needs to be done.

I notice at other sites, that is the only way they get newer members. Outside bettors are looking for solid cappers to follow. This is not how I bet, but if thats what it takes to get this site more members, lets do it.

Sure I have psoted at others sites, but there is something about SCI that I really enjoy, but its the lack of posters and discussions that keep it from growing IMO.

I have to go dig up my records, but I will be back with them and I expect the rest of the board to participate.

Lets try and increase the size of this site, I feel as if it is my home these days.

I have some really good frineds in Naught, Nick & Tommy..so lets continue this.

I started betting at the beginning of last years World Series where I picked the Sox to sweep, but I have no baseball record to give. Here are this past years numbers.

2005 - 2006

NBA 41-31-3 @ 56.9%
NCAAB 118-99 @ 54.3 %
NFL 35-24-1 @ 59.3%
NCAAF 32-18 @ 64%

I am asking the rest of the board to post thier records in all sports for the season.

We really need to do something to increase the growth of this site.

Tommy I had an idea.

What if we run a headline of a "Capper of the Week" on the front page.

Example

QuickNick is on a run of 9-2 +7.2 units this week in MLB

Just something for those who visit. So there might be an added reason to search our forums even more in detail.

Maybe a Capper of the week in each current sport...

I dunno, just throwing out ideas, but I feel like this is as much my forum as it is you, the owner.

Let me know if its a good idea or not.

First, thanks for the compliment and I'm glad you enjoy SCI Wig.

We are small time and still growing, but I really like the majority of members that post and contribute here so far. I hope this forum continues to grow and add members to the solid foundation (family) that is already here.

Posters and interaction is what makes a forum and I'm just one of them posters. I've been posting on forums for over 6 years now and still can't phathem why the majority of people who visit a forum, that they're interested in, still do not post. That is what a forum is for! I understand it takes topics that are interesting to make a post, but if no one posts, then there is nothing. There's nothing wrong with starting a thread and speaking your mind (within reason) and lighting a fuse, thats what a forum is for!

I have some new friends here as well as some other places and it's all because I jumped into discussions or made my own thread. I really enjoy good discussions and making new friends. A forum reminds me of a good bar that you would frequent regularly, without the beer of course

Enough of my rambling...

I have said it before and I'll say it again. This is everyones forum! I just try and supply a good home and environment for everyone, another useful place for sports bettors and poker players to visit. As a sports bettor myself, I can't get enough of them. It's up to anyone if they would want to get involved or not. I'm always open for suggestions to make YOUR forum better. If there is enough interest or I feel it's warranted, it will get done!

I like your suggestion Wig, I think it's a good idea. Not only to get other peoples attention, but to give some props to whoever is hot. I will get that done shortly.

Also, I've been spot playing and not keeping a record lately. I'll start keeping a record for sure come football!

I spend a lot of time on this site, but there are not a lot of threads really discussing anything.

I would hope that will change.

God only knows I am capable of stirring something up.
