Not really, but it's bitter sweet that they lost and probably would of had a better chance with Iverson on the team.

Of course your going to lose with Hinrich and the scrubs they took instead of AI.

they would have lost w iverson too.....the team needed better perimeter shooters and defenders, putting ai on the team would have help offensively but ai doesnt shoot a good 3 pt percentage and is not a good team defender...what killed them in the greece game was 3 pt shooting, of which ai would have done nothing to help and ft % which he prob would have shot better a little bit at least than what they had

Did you watch the game? Greece had some small scrappy players, which AI fits that category to a TEE. He would of helped wear them down a little better IMO. AI is undoubtably one of, if not the hardest worker and scrappiest player in the NBA. If everyone who is currently playing for the USA team scrapped and had heart, then there is no way they would lose.

it comes down to shooting man...ai isnt a 3 pt shooter, which is what the us lacks, and he doesnt play fundamental team defense, which is also what cost the usa bc they couldnt stop the pick and roll...at least they got the bronze...not to mention why do u want ai on the team when the purpose of this team is to get them ready for the olympics, u want players who will play in the olympics not an old broken down ai come olympic time who wont even be around then...its not a knock on ai, its just a knock on why any of the older guys werent on the team

You make some valid points Naught, the perimeter shooting and team defensive did hurt them.
