Public overreaction had Pittsburgh in a bad spot last Monday with an obviously rusty Ben Roethlisberger going under Center for the first time in 2006. Still, the Jaguars showed more aggressiveness and otherwise outplayed the defending champions in winning 9-0. The Steelers will look to restore some momentum on Sunday in a huge divisional clash with Cincinnati.
Big Ben was never allowed to become comfortable in the pocket and the loss of WR Antwaan Randle El showed against a higher caliber team. The Bengals arrive for this AFC North confrontation, looking primed and ready. Cincinnati has been crafty on offense and up to old tricks on defense. Last season the Bengals led the NFL in turnovers created and have forced three in each of the first two games. Cincy does come in banged up though on both sides of the ball and Pittsburgh will look to exploit those issues. Steelers need to get back to running the ball after being stuffed for 60 minutes. From a situational perspective, things do not line up well for the Steelers, who are 3-12-1 against the spread when favored at home by less then 3.5 points. The host over the last several years in this series is 1-7 ATS, giving the appearance Pittsburgh will have its hands full.
