| This is a big blow for the Mets. Maine will have to step up for them. What do you think about this naught? The NL is pretty weak even so, but I don't think it will be easy for the Mets now. LA and SD are red hot right now, as are the Phillies and IMO, any one of these teams could keep it going into the playoffs and suprise the Mets. Mets have been going through the motions for about a month now, so they might come out a little rusty. |

| honestly, pedro being hurt and def being out hurts bc he has postseason experience and is a big game pitcher, but truth be told he has been hurt most of this yr and has been 50% or less the last 2 months....the mets have a deep pitching staff...u can always count on duque and glavine to be solid in postseason in fact no one really better than duque in postseason except for maybe smoltz...duque and glavine will give the mets a solid 1,2, trachsel isnt bad being no 3, and then having mayne, perez in the pen will only help there....i mean pitching helped the mets get here but dont mistake the fact the mets offense is the best of these teams in the playoffs....as long as reyes, beltran, delgado, wright bring the lumber to the yard the mets will be fine.....the teams which scare me are sd bc they are unstoppable right now, and houston who wantsto face pettitte and clemens in a short series
