Default March Madness Money

Just read a couple of facts on March Madness. Makes you wonder where the sense is, not having gambling legal in the USA. In las Vegas where gambling is legal, it is expected that between 80 and 90 million will be gambled legally on the games. However a few years ago the FBI estimated that 2.5 billion was spent on office pools. Maybe someday one of our great leaders will add one one, come up with two, and say hey lets legalize it and take our cut. But then again what would a few billion in tax revenue do to help our economy? Can you imagine the money that is spent gambling in the USA on all sports? Has to be mind boggling!

You make a great point as I will add State Lottery's into your post as well as BINGO (cash). What is the real difference between Lottery's and Bingo and Gambling. Every time you purchase a lottery ticket or play bingo for cash you are actually gambling which is no different than playing the horses, betting on a football game etc, etc. They use money from lottery's for senior citizens so why not legalize gambling and keep the money over here to help our economy out. Our state could really benefit from the income that sportsbetting can bring in. In Penna. we are just now getting slot machines and you can't tell me the state wouldn't make more money of legalizing gambling. They expect alot of revenue from slot machines to help out the state and its programs it funds. I could go on and on but alot of good can come out of legalizing gambling.

just my opinion
