| Wow. Kobe has scored 65, 50, 60 and 50 in four straight games. The only person to score at least 50 in 4 or more games was Wilt. Wilt did it in 7 consecutive games. I think Kobe might be the best scoring guard of all time, and yes over MJ. |

| Tommy, my man. I'm a huge KOBEEEEEEEEEEEEE fan. He's, by far, my favorite player. Ask Matt he can tell you. In my opinion he and the Lakers are the most exciting team to watch in the NBA. But I do NOT think he is better than His Airness. You have to look at the era in which they played. Michael did it in, arguably, the NBA's golden era. I'm talkin Magic, Bird, Ewing, Hakeem, Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Dominique and so on. Michael did this on a nighly basis against the greats of NBA history. I give Kobe all the credit in the world. Scoring 50 points four nights in a row is amazing, but when you wan't to compare him to His Airness some of the wowness will be taken away. I mean, cmon, scoring 50 against the Grizz and Hornets?????? It is amazing do not get me wrong, but let's keep it in perspective and not compare it to His Airness. Having said all of that I believe Kobe is, without a doubt, the best player in the NBA. I don't want to hear about LeBron and Wade. Kobe is the new face of the NBA. Let's leave the past in the past and let KOBE have his time to shine.

| Sox, I agree with you that MJ played in a better time frame and probably the better "player", but in my opinion, Kobe is the better scorer. Mainly because he can shoot from anywhere on the court. His range is the whole entire court. Not one weakness I can think off where he's limited in the scoring department. It's funny that you love Kobe and I hate him, but I will certainly give him his due here and say he is the better scorer. The man can score his ass off from anywhere on the court. As dominating as he was, I can't say that about Mike. His long range was pretty poor. Kobe drops long range bombs like thier layups. I've watched both play throughout thier careers and I would say MJ was the more dominating player and still the best of all time, but from a "pure scoring" standpoint, Kobe edges out Mike in my opinion... |

| I agree with you, Tommy. I think Kobe has more range than His Airness. Kobe can fire it up from anywhere. How about this, Kobe might be a better shooter than His Airness, but let's not forget that there is defense involved as well. His Airness was a MUCH MUCH better defensive player than Kobe. Always 1st team all NBA Defense. I used to hate Kobe just as much as you did. But one day I realized how great a player he was and I began to appreciate watching him because he is one of a kind. He's so special and makes the game so much more fun to watch. And Tommy cmon, he will cover some spreads for you if you give him a chance. This is a good convo, we may have to finish this up on AIM one of these days. I'm gonna make you a KOBE lover ![]()

| I do not like Kobe, just like everyone else from the Philly area That being said, he's just too explosive for me to sit back and ignore it. I will give him his just due. |

| T.O. is a great player. He doesn't get in any legal trouble, and on the field you can't deny his abilities. And I don't understand why Philly locals hate KOBE so much. He should be a local hero. It's not his fault he got drafted to the Hornets and then traded to the Lakers.
