Default What goals do you set when approaching a season? How do you approach?

As for myself, I try to keep it as simple as a 55-45 type of season where using exchanges can help earning profit. With football approaching it is almost time to set goals and begin.

How do you approach the season?
What is your strategy?

My strategy, along with many others most likely is to load it up and go...I set up a unit system and try to stay within what my bankroll suggests. I'm more of a day-to-day type of bettor. Whatever I see that I like, I bet it. Sometimes it's 5 plays a day and sometimes it's none. My goal is to be ahead once the season comes to an end.

k..well my reasoning for goals is that when I hit it I am done. But in this reasoning achieving 10 units pays the bills for a year.

Yeah, I don't set a goal like that. I will usually go a full season if my bankroll let's that happen. I do this for fun though, not to pay bills. It's one of the hobbies I enjoy to do in life.

When and if you achieve your goal and just be done with it seems like a odd proposition to me. Do you always start up at the beginning of the season? You can set a goal at anytime and run with it. It doesn't have to be any time specifically.

Me personally, I wouldn't stop a good thing if I was up to 10 units. I'd probably pocket my post-up and play with house money, but I don't wager for a living. Even if I did wager for a living, I still wouldn't take your approach. Why limit yourself?

I do not limit myself. Once my first goal is achieved, I pay myself and if I feel there is potential left, I set a new goal. Would you rather play an entire season and make $2k or hit your goal in a shorter time frame and make $60k net?

And that is just for 1 season...do that 4 times a year and I don't think anyone would have a problem setting goals.
