Default Who Got Better of the BOS/MIN Deal?

Garnett to the Celtics OR Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes and Sebastian Telfair to the Wolves.

That's alot of young talent the Celtics gave away IMO. A huge risk.

The Celtics look strong now with a starting 5 that includes Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and now Garnett. How is thier bench? Will they all stay healthy?

Last year Ray Allen was hurt most of the season and Pierce was out for about 1/3 of the season.

Has Boston become title contenders in the East now??

I think so if they all stay healthy and play well together.

I think Boston will contend for the East too. In the Eastern Conference I do not think that you have to be as deep as you do in the West. If they all stay healthy and get average help from the bench I can see definitely see them with a #2 or #3 seed come playoff time.

I think Boston got the better of the deal. They gave away a bunch of players that will never amount to anything special in my opinion. Garnett is still in his prime right now and can put the Celtics on his back. Also, they weren't winning with Green and Jefferson so why not try winning without them. I am not a Celtics fan but I do hope they contend in the East because I am a huge KG fan.

I really think Al Jefferson will be a beast in the next 1-2 years and for years to come.

If I'm Boston, I would rather take my chances with a proven beast rather than waiting two or three more years. Pierce and Allen do not have many years left to wait on players to develop.

both teams benefitted from the deal...boston with pierce and allen clearly wasnt gonna be good enough to win w the kids they had, good enough for playoffs possibly, to win the east or title no chance...now they got themselves a legit big man to power the east and will make the playoffs and battle to come out of the east....in minny, they werent winning with garnett and had spread his name all over so he clearly couldnt return to minny, he had to go....bc of all the hype of trading him they were never gonna get equal value for him but they did get a bunch of young kids to play w the young talent they already got so all in all a good trade for both imo
