| NFL Network reports that the Bears will start Brian Griese, not Rex Grossman at quarterback in Week 4 at Detroit. Grossman has been the Bears' starter for the last two seasons, but has come out of the gate poorly, throwing one touchdown and six interceptions. |

| I almost feel bad for Rex. I think he really tries hard to be be a good Quarterback but it is just not in him right now. I think that him being benched will be good for him. It might light a spark under him and want him to be a better QB. Just knowing that your job and your money and are in danger might make him get back to the fundamentals. I know that if me providing my family was in jeopardy, I would practice my ass off and win back my starting job. GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!

| The thing is, Griese isn't the answer either I don't think. I would have to believe if Rex does indeed come back and still doesn't get the job done, the Bears will be definitely looking for a new QB this offseason. The Bears have to have the worst 3 QB's in the league in Grossman, Griese and Orton. |

| Also, with Grossman's performance last year, I'm surprised the Bears didn't go out this offseason and get a better #2, better than Griese anyway. Last year, the Bears had alot of things go their way with special teams and the defense. Another season like that back-to-back would be asking alot. The ball bounced thier way all last season. On Monday, they looked like a totally different team. It will definitely take some offense for them to go back to the Super Bowl this year IMO. |

| I agree, Tommy. And I do think Rex deserves a lot of the blame for the Bear's offensive woes but not 100%. I think the offense as a whole needs improvement. Putting Griese in next week will be like putting a band-aid on the problem and not fixing it. I just hope mine and Matt's Bears can get something straight and turn this season around before it is too late. I am hoping for 10-6 finish. Bears -3 $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
