Arrow The Pulse Play of the Week

It's been a tough ride lately for the staff at The Pulse headquarters. Nobody is able to go Christmas shopping until we come up with another winner. Needless to say, the corporate office is working overtime and after a long hard look and, with a last minute Saturday release, we have come up with a play that will get us out of the office next week. We expect to finish strong in December and this is the first step on our path of redemption.

Play of the Week
The Pulse's Record: +11 Units
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts
The Pulse gives this play a 5-Star Rating and says: Go with the Jags +8 at home over the Colts!

This week’s game is the perfect example of the lines-makers over-adjusting the spread based on misleading information. If Leftwich was playing, the number would be less than a touchdown- and that is where we see the value here. Although a good QB, he is not a show-stopper that would be able to make a huge difference in this game. These two teams always play tight games and win them in the trenches. The Jaguars are always able to apply pressure to Manning, and disrupt his timing and rhythm. Jacksonville seems to be the only team in the NFL that can derail the “Indy Express” to its much ballyhooed undefeated season. They will hit their receivers hard and will complete strong runs (RB Taylor will play in the game), which will shorten the game and keep Manning off the field. The new QB for the Jags, Gerard, is a much better runner than Leftwich. He will not be asked to win this game for Jacksonville, just keep it close enough so they have a chance in the 4th quarter.

Everybody knows how incredible the Colts are now that they have a good defense to go along with a record-setting offense. Going undefeated is very hard to do in the NFL, and this game looks like the perfect setting for the Colts to lose their first game of the year. The crowd in Jacksonville will be relentless, the defense will keep Manning in a frenzy, and their offense will constantly run the ball to offset the speed of the Indy D. Couple all of that with a point spread that is more than a TD, and we have a very attractive play this week. Look for the Jags to make this game a dogfight where they will have a chance to win if they can pull off some late-game heroics. Even if the Jags don’t knock off the Colts this week, we like the 8 points here as a hedge to cover what should be a great game in week 14th on the NFL schedule

Go with the Jags +8 at home over the Colts!
